Portage la Prairie has a beautiful
and illuminated 5.2 km (3.2 mile) community walkway along picturesque Crescent
Lake. It also has many Historical Walking Signs along the pathway that
give reference and stories to sites of the past and current heritage properties
along the late. The 2.4 meter (8 foot) wide paved walkway is an excellent amenity in
our community to enjoy walks, strolls or runs. With several accesses along
the way, this path can be incorporated into daily work, school, or leisure
routines
